Tres Palacios, Family Vintage Carmenere 2017, Maipo Valley, Chile, Wine Casual

Tres Palacios, Family Vintage Carmenere 2017, Maipo Valley, Chile

Tasting Note: A substantial carmenere with a velvet-glove texture and which basks in ripe, black fruit.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry, black cherry, green-pepper, raspberry and violet blossom.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied carmenere has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium-plus tannin.

The wine is creamy in texture with a concentrated midpalate.

A serious carmenere to tackle grilled meats, especially a steak.

Bottle Note: Viña Tres Palacios, a family company, was first to plant grapevines in Cholqui Valley (Lower Maipo). With a rigorous selection of their own vineyards they obtain products of extraordinary quality and special character. Estate grown and bottled. Terroir surrounded by mountains, in the heart of the Chilean Mediterranean climate, which gives high-end fruit to make fruity and elegant wines.
