Trivento, Golden Reserve Malbec 2014, Luján de Cuyo, Argentina
Tasting Note: Having tasted the last two vintages (2012, 2013), and now this third vintage, this Golden Reserve malbec is definitely a solid, well-made wine you can take to a dinner party or enjoy yourself at home.
Deep purple-to-ruby in color this wine has an aromatic nose of raspberry, blackberry and red plum with hints of violet and clove and vanilla baking spice.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied wine follows through with ripe red and black fruit flavors suggested on the nose. Tannin is ripe, well-integrated and slightly-grippy at moments.
There is also mid-palate complexity and balance between the fruit and medium-acidity. You’ll like the way this wine finishes on your palate with a medium-plus concentrated finish.
Bottle Note: Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec is a legacy of traditions passed down from generation to generation; and expresses the passions of everyone involved in the vineyards’ labors.
Hand-selected grapes are then transformed into a concentrated garnet-red wine whose lively red fruit aromas and silky tannins make way for a flood or sensations on the palate.
