Trudon, Emblématis Champagne Brut, France
Tasting Note: A meunier-and-pinot-noir Champagne that offers a mostly-fruit-forward bubbly experience.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of golden apple, white peach, orange zest and Asian pear with hints of brioche.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Champagne has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a slightly-citrusy, medium finish.
The entry-level Champagne is straightforward, simple and good in its dimension.
Bottle Note: Champagne Trudon was founded in 1920 by Lucien Trudon. Today Jerome Trudon is taking over the 7ha family vineyard as Independent Wine Grower. The cuvée Emblématis is a blend of 80% Meunier and 20% Pinot Noir showing roundness, delicacy and fruit flavors.
