Valdemar, Inspiración Selección Rioja 2011, Spain
Tasting Note: A Rioja with classic, black-fruit flavors and aromas.
Deep-intensity ruby in color with garnet around the edges, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, raspberry, tobacco, vanilla baking spice and bramble.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Rioja has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin.
There is midpalate complexity, substance, and well-integrated flavors and tannin.
Pair with white or red meat.
Bottle Note: This very traditional Rioja blend now fortunately recovered by us brings together the elegance of Tempranillo (80%), the boldness of Graciano (10%) and the vibrant aromas of Maturana (10%).
