Wineck-Schlossberg, Meyer-Fonné Riesling 2017, Alsace Grand Cru, France

Tasting Note: A bone-dry, aged, Alsace Grand Cru riesling that delights the senses with a mix of just-ripened fruit and flavor precision.

Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of fuji apple, nectarine, guava, lychee, pineapple, gooseberry, lime citrus and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied riesling has medium-plus-intensity, tropical-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by high acidity ultimately completing with a citrus-infused, long finish.

The wine is complex and retains angularity even with age.

Grand Cru riesling is one of the most affordable, value-for-the-money wine luxuries there are.
