Wiston Estate, Cuvée Rosé NV, South Downs, England
Tasting Note: A spritely, English sparkling wine that has a distinct red-fruit character.
Medium-intensity salmon in color, this wine has a nose of green apple, brioche, red cherry, caramel and quince.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied brut delivers medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with some lemon citrus on the medium-plus finish.
The wine is medium-plus in acidity with good balance between the fruit and acid structure.
Bottle Note: The Goring Family have farmed the Wiston Estate on the South Downs of England for more than 250 years. This extraordinary chalk landscape is a powerful constant in our lives. It connects every generation of our family and inspires a sense of duty and respect. Our winemaking aim is simple, we seek purity and expression of place. Wiston Rosé NV is a blend of chardonnay & pinot noir all harvest late in the year to achieve full ripeness of fruit. Vibrant and fresh with delicious red berry notes it is the perfect aperitif but also goes exceptionally well with food.
