Tasting Note: A hearty red blend of tannat, merlot and zinfandel that asserts itself in your glass.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of rhubarb, blackberry, leather, black currant, dried red cherry and black raspberry.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend has medium-intensity, red-and-black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.

The wine would pair well with grilled meats and heavier dishes.

A good straightforward red blend.

This 33-part blend of tannat, merlot and zinfandel – the only zinfandel produced in Uruguay – was made in small lots and aged separately for 14 months in French and American oak. A richly aromatic and full-bodied wine imparting ripe fruit and floral notes with refined tannins and a supple finish. It is a wine faithful to the vintage, region and the people who make it. 365 cases produced.
