Chateau de Julienas, Julienas 2015, Beaujolais, France
Tasting Note: A fuller-bodied Crus Beaujolais with concentration made from the ever-versatile and food-friendly gamay grape.
Deep-intensity purple in color this wine has an aromatic nose of black plum, red cherry, kirsch and strawberry.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied Beaujolais displays flavor concentration and echoes flavors suggested on the nose.
The wine expresses more black fruit flavors than red fruit and balances this well with medium-plus acidity while at the same time maintaining brightness.
An impressive Cru Beaujolais.
