Cuvée Papale, Châteauneuf du Pape 2016, Rhone, France

Tasting Note: If you enjoy robust, Rhone white wines, this Châteauneuf du Pape will be a welcome treat.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of green apple, bosc pear, white peach stonefruit, lime zest and blossom with hints of pineapple.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied Châteauneuf du Pape has medium-plus-intensity, orchard-fruit flavors suggested on the nose with a touch of oak supported by medium acidity and completing with a floral, medium-plus finish.

Notes of complexity dance along the midpalate.

A perfect winter white wine.

Bottle Note: 70% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne.
