Emiliana, Gê 2011, Los Robles Estate, Colchagua, Chile

Tasting Note: An elegant, Bordeaux-styled, red blend built on a carmenere back.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has a aromatic nose of black fruit including black plum, blackberry, black currant and black cherry with hints of vanilla.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied red blend delivers flavors suggested on the nose supported by soft, supple, well-integrated tannin and medium-intensity, black-fruit flavors.

Bottle Note: Gê comes from the Greek word ?? which means “earth.” 45% carmenere, 40% syrah, 14% cabernet sauvignon. Gê is the maximum expression of Emiliana’s biodynamic agriculture. It brings together the energy of the cosmos, the earth, and human life to create a unique wine with a tremendous personality that faithfully reflects the characteristics and attributes of its terroir. It is a red blend of carmenere, syrah and cabernet sauvignon from our Los Robles estate in the Colchagua Valley. Deep violet-red in color. Intense on the nose offering a complex bouquet of plum, black currant, and licorice and a nod to its oak aging with notes of cedar, violets and tea leaves. The ample palate is harmonious and elegant, with fresh acidity and silky tannins. Recommended for cellaring. Made with biodynamic grapes.
