Tasting Note: A lively rosé brut that hits all the right notes, especially for the price point.

Medium-intensity salmon in color with small, tight bubbles, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of red cherry, strawberry and blossom with hints of brioche.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied sparkling rosé brut had medium-intensity flavors suggested on nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a medium finish.

There is some midpalate complexity with persistent bubbles.

Bottle Note: This cuvée is a tribute from Gerard Bertrand to Thomas Jefferson, the most French of American presidents. He was Limoux’s greatest admirer, and he discreetly cultivated his love for France and for Limoux sparkling wine. In fact, wine from Limoux was the only sparkling wine to be found in his personal cellar. This wine is a blend of chardonnay (70%), chenin blanc (15%), pinot noir (15%). The grapes are grown at the highest elevation vineyards in the south of France, where hot days and cool nights ensure freshness, fruitiness and elegance in this unique sparkling wine.
