Herdade do Rocim, Alicante Bouschet 2016, Vinho Regional Alentejano, Portugal
Tasting Note: An Alicante Bouschet from Alentejo that is filled with wonderful early-summer fruit and alluring florality.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine an aromatic and floral nose of violet petal, fresh red plum, strawberry puree, red cherry and raspberry.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Alicante Bouschet has a mix of bright-and-vibrant, red-and-black fruit underpinned by medium acidity and smooth, medium tannin.
The wine is smooth in texture with some midpalate complexity that completes with a white-blossom-infused finish.
Bottle Note: At Herdade do Rocim, located between Cuba and Vidigueria, the vineyards are part of a natural ecosystem and our wines express the terroir. Linaria (Linaria Ricardoi) is a plant which is native to Cuba and in danger of extinction. It symbolizes our passion, commitment and respect for the land. Carefully foot trodden in traditional stone open fermenter. Aged in French oak vats.
