Kloster Eberbach, Bergstrasse Hessische Staatsweingüter, Riesling Trocken 2015, VDP, Rheingau, Germany
Tasting Note: If you enjoyed tart, sour candy as a child, you’ll love this pucker-worthy riesling.
Gold in color this wine has an aromatic nose of ripe green and red apple, pear and pineapple sprinkled with lemon and lime zest.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied riesling shows lemon-lime tartness on the attack followed by fruit flavors suggested on the nose completing with a somewhat chalky, and also, tart finish.
The wine refreshes the palate with its high acidity and its slightly petillant character.
