Panther Creek, Schindler Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014, Eola-Amity Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon
Tasting Note: A good, solid, mostly-straightforward pinot noir that would pair well with a midweek meal.
Medium-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, red cherry, bramble, blossom and hibiscus.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied pinot noir delivers bright, medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin.
The wine is balanced with some tart, red-fruit elements running throughout the length of the taste.
Bottle Note: Schindler Vineyard is an 18.5-acre vineyard facing southwest in the Eola-Amity AVA, and sits at an elevation of 300 feet. The soils are well-drained and are derived from sedimentary bedrock, producing wines that are rich and seamless. 575 cases.
