San Giuseppe, Prosecco Superiore Brut 2016, Prosecco di Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG, Italy
Tasting Note: Most Prosecco is extra dry so behold this rarer, dry, brut-styled Prosecco; it’s DOCG and produced on the finest hillside sites which typically produce the best glera fruit.
This wine offers a very-light, dry style that is effervescent.
Pale-intensity lemon in color this wine has a fine mousse and a medium-plus intensity nose of green apple, quince, lemon-citrus, melon, blossom and lychee.
On the palate the dry, light-bodied brut Prosecco is steely in texture with flavors on the nose continuing to the palate supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with medium finish.
This is a wine to serve to reset friends’ Prosecco expectations and present them with the drier side of the sweetness spectrum.
