Sokol Blosser, Lucky No. 9 White 2020, Washington & California
Tasting Note: A bright, zesty, white wine made from California and Washington-state fruit that is filled with sunny, tropical fruit.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of white peach, lime zest, crabapple, pear, starfruit and lychee.
On the palate the off-dry, blend has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a bright medium-plus finish.
The wine is steely in texture, and craves spicy food.
I paired with Thai Basil Chicken, and it was a perfect pairing.
Bottle Note: Lush and off-dry, with a crisp finish. A blend that begs to be paired with spicy foods. 42% Oregon, 57% Washington.
