Standing Stone Vineyards, Petit Verdot 2013, Finger Lakes, New York
Tasting Note: An inky, petit verdot from the New York Finger Lakes that tastes like Christmas.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of black plum, red currant, kirsch, peach stone fruit, clove and cinnamon baking spice.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied wine delivers red-and-black fruit suggested on the nose with supple, medium tannin.
The wine has a soft texture with balance between the fruit and tannin structure.

Bottle Note: 10 Millennia ago, glaciers carved the Finger Lakes, creating soil ideally suited to growing grapes. Our site, on the east shore of Seneca Lake, captures the ideal elements of wind, water, soil and stone. We craft wines that are brilliant in their personality, with luscious flavors, aromas and textures. We dedicate our passion to wines with a solid foundation in the soil and the stone, expressed with elegant flavors in your class. We’re delighted to share our passion of wine making with you and your loved ones! Marti & Tom Macinski
