Chalk Hill Estate Winery, Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Chalk Hill, Sonoma, California
Tasting Note: An herbal sauvignon blanc with a classic Loire, sauvignon-blanc character.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of green apple, quince, dill, hay, lemon-citrus peel, herbs and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied sauvignon blanc has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.
The wine has a creamy texture, midpalate complexity and complimentary herbal notes that are reminiscent of old-world sauvignon blanc.
An excellent sauvignon blanc to pair with savory dishes.
