Joseph Drouhin, Drouhin Vaudon Chablis 2014, Burgundy, France
Tasting Note: A classic Chablis that presents unoaked chardonnay fruit in a bright, fresh style.
Lemon in color this wine has a nose of green apple, pear and lemon citrus.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied Chablis displays steely green fruit and mid-palate minerality along with a flinty character on the finish.
The wine is high in acidity and refreshes the palate without being overly assertive.
A perfect complement to oysters, shellfish, seafood, chicken and many other dishes.
Bottle Note: This historical Moulin de Vaudon is the 18th century property and headquarters of Maison Joseph Drouhin in Chablis. It’s an old watermill straddling the Serein River, the river that is closely identified with Chablis and its vineyards. Coming from the best vineyards of the appellation, this wine brings together elegance, balance and mineral flavors.
