Kloster Eberbach, Hessische Staatsweingüter, Assmannshäuser Spätburgunder Trocken 2014, VDP, Rheingau, Germany
Tasting Note: A bright, lively and relatively straightforward pinot noir or “spätburgunder” as its called in Germany.
Ruby in color this wine has a nose of red cherry, cranberry and faint hints of red currant.
On the palate the dry, medium-minus bodied wine is bright with fresh red cherry fruit that reveals some notes of tartness.
A basic-plus pinot noir.
