Tasting Note: A Bourgueil that captures the essential fruit and herbal essence that is Loire cabernet franc.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of dried cherry, red plum, black tea, pencil shavings, raspberry and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Bourgueil has medium-plus-intensity black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and velvety, medium-plus tannin ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.

The midpalate is complex with black tea and a mix of red-and-black fruit.

Cabernet franc like this is why I adore Bourgueil.
