McPherson Cellars, Carignan 2019, Lahey Vineyards Fulton Block, Texas High Plains, Texas
Tasting Note: A Texas carignan that abounds with vibrant red fruit and lovely florality.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of strawberry jam, cranberry, dried cherry, red currant and red plum.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied carignan has bright, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin ultimately completing with a floral, medium-plus finish.
The midpalate is bright and refreshes your tastebuds making you want to take another sip and then another.
Well made.
